Change in taste preference related to aging of taste cells in rat

Following the suppression of renewal of rat taste cells by vinblastine sulphate, the preference for sucrose decreased markedly while the aversion to quinine did not change. The results suggest that the sensitivity of taste cells to sucrose decreases with their aging, but the sensitivity to quinine increases.     

Study of the characteristics of the inotropic effect of insulin in rabbit papillary muscle.

The effect of insulin was examined with emphasis on the alteration in the force-frequency relation. The results show that insulin does not change the time to peak tension nor the time of contraction. The inotropic effect was significant and did not depend upon the frequency of stimulation. However, there was a definite dependence of the magnitude of the inotropic effect on temperature. Previous studies have indicated that the inotropic effect is not a result of increased substrate availability or changes in cAMP phosphodiesterase activity. These results and those reported here are consistant with the hypothesis that insulin's inotropic effect is due to increases in intracellular Ca++.     

HCO-3-ATPase activity distribution in rat liver cell fractions prepared by zonal centrifugation.

Plasma membrane sheets prepared by zonal centrifugation of a premicrosomal pellet obtained from a rat liver homogenate are devoid of HCO-3-ATPase activity. Since the microsomal fraction is also lacking in this ATPase activity, it can be concluded that the HCO-3-ATPase is not involved in the secretion of HCO-3 into bile.     

sBLM味觉物质生物敏感器件的研究

本文研究以琼脂糖为基的固体支撑双层脂膜（ｓＢＬＭ）对味觉物质（乙酸、盐酸喹咛、蔗糖）的响应．这三种味觉物质显著地改变了膜电位，盐酸喹咛、蔗糖对膜电阻有一定影响，脂膜对乙酸和盐酸喹咛也有良好的线性响应．检测灵敏度分别为１２μｍｏｌ／Ｌ和１．３μｍｏｌ／Ｌ，其响应特性、检测灵敏度都达到或优于现有的其它检测方法．用Ｃ６０修饰卵磷脂双层脂膜，加大了膜强度，用它检测上述三种物质，得到了相同结果．
